Last weekend, we took the girls to the Smoky Mountains or Tall Mountains as SK called it for a little mini-vaca. We love going every year or so to relax, shop at the best outlet mall, eat great food and look at the mountains. So fun! We had a super neat chalet rented this year that was a log cabin. The owners even mailed the girls presents that were waiting on them when we arrived. The girls had a dance party, took walks to see the bears that were on our street carved from shrubs, and played for hours with plastic bowls and large checkers. I know that's random, but we didn't take ANY toys and it didn't even phase them. They baked cookies and brownies using the coffee table as an oven and SK even played a few rounds of air hockey. They slept in the loft together and we had so much fun listening to them fall asleep at naptime. They would giggle and squeal at each other for a little bit then fall off to sleep! We ate great food and followed our traveling rule of not eating at chain restaurants. This is very easy to do in Gatlinburg as there as a many pancake houses as there are people. Seriously, they have to qualify for a record for the most pancake houses and putt-putt golf courses in one area! And the people watchin' ain't too bad either! :)
