Tonight our local news channel was reading different stories from children on how to cook a turkey. Adam and I asked Sara how to do it and this is what she said:
JB: What do you need to make the turkey?
SK: Water, oil, milk, butter, and cheese
JB: Where do you get the turkey?
SK: You shoot it and get the bones out. If it is still alive, you just let it stay alive and be quiet and try to find another one.
JB: After you shoot it, what do you do?
SK: You go out in the field and get it. You run back to the stand. If you have a stove you get a ziplock baggie. You put the turkey in the ziplock baggie and then you go to your truck and then you drive home and then you make the turkey.
JB: How do you cook the turkey?
SK: You put water in it first. And then you put milk. Then oil. And then cheese. Since you baked it on the stove [in the deer stand] you have to put it in the microwave for 10 minutes and then take it out and let it cool down and then if you want to eat it you can or bring it to your friends house and eat it. But, if they are not home you'll just have to go back home and eat it.
JB: What else is good to eat with turkey?
SK: Well if you take the bones out I think you have to bake the bones in the microwave for 5 minutes and then what you do is you take it out and then you put it in some ketchup, i think. Can I tell you something else?
JB: Yes
SK: I want to tell how chickens are juicy. Cause if you bake them in the microwave and they are really frozen from the freezer. You just have to stick them in the microwave and press some buttons and they taste juicy. And, did you know eggs crack when you bang em somewhere in a bowl they'll just crack!
Hopefully, she will stick to playing school and dress-up on Thursday :)
