When the Daddy is away...

...these girls like to play!!! Adam went hunting with Poppa, RW and Brian C. this weekend in Mexico. So, the girls and I had a little 'stay-cation'. SO fun having a weekend full of playdates at great spots, eating out, spending an afternoon at Aunt Debbie's with Caroline and Aunt Debbie (two of SK's favorite people!). Our pictures are in reverse order, so we'll start with Saturday afternoons trip to the Train Station...

A Day out with Thomas & "Momma, Jackson is my husband!"
Here's Thomas..... SK really wanted to hug him!
The Railroad Museum set up a fair full of fun things to do before we got on the train. SK said her favorite part was this little train that took the kids around for just a few minutes. AK seriously believes she is as big as SK and Jackson! She never missed a beat this whole weekend playing right along with all the big kids! :)
SK' second favorite was the huge slide! She has no fear anytime we go to JumpZone and this was no exception! She hated waiting in line and didn't really understand why she had to, but she loved going down fast! AK also got to go (with me!) down the slide.
AK picked out a purple Thomas tatoo. She saw SK getting one and joined the fun, too!
Sara's 'tat' was a blue Thomas.
Eating a snack in the movie tent before we boarded.
These men were so kind to help SK up to the train. They also let AK do it all by herself. They were so cute bending over to help little AK. I wish I had a picture of how proud of herself she was! These volunteers take their job so seriously! We rode the same train for our Polar Express ride and they are full of facts about the train cars and love the children.
All Aboard! We found out our train car was used for over 50 years in the Midwest.
AK having another snack and LOVING the train! Notice Jackson in the window looking out so intently. He was just precious to watch the whole afternoon. This boy LOVES trains and we were so excited when he called and asked us to go on Thomas.
The little monkeys at the end of the day. This sums up their attention span at the very end! We had to walk out through the gift shop (nice exiting strategy by the museum people!) and left with a Thomas mylar balloon and our first real Thomas (or one of the characters) train cars.

We ordered pizza, picked up a quick coffee and desert for the mommies :) and headed to our house to play until bathtime. While Stephanie and I were lounging SK and Jackson were in her room playing. I heard somebody call momma, so I went back to see if they were o.k. A few minutes later SK came in and told me "Jackson is my husband and we are fine!" She said it very quietly with her head very close to mine like she knew it wasn't something she should say real loud! :) We've been waiting for these two to start pretending to be boyfriend/girlfriend for a long time!

The Monkey's Treehouse
Saturday morning we got up bright and early and met Judy and Lexi at a new indoor playspace in Bellevue called The Monkey's Treehouse. It is worth every penny!!! It's an amazing place and the girls had a blast!

We love The Monkey's Treehouse!!!
SK getting ready to go on stage! I think Auntie Judy is somewhere behind her trying to terrify my poor baby into saying really bad things like "obama!" Poor thing! ;)

AK, who is always the life of the party, loved the gigantic sandbox! Everytime AK saw my camera she would stop and say "CHEESE!"
SK was right at home in the kitchen. It really was a little girls' dream!
AK in the market called Adam's Apple.
SK driving AK around in a truck.
Auntie Judy getting donuts from SK and Lexi. Sara told her they were $50!
Spa Night with Sara
Friday afternoon we headed to the 'playgound' mall to have cookies, browse Gymbo and TCP and play on the indoor playground. After having way too much fun bugging Judy in Gymbo we headed down to the playground only to find every other parent in Cool Springs had the same idea we did on a rainy Friday. So, we opted for plan B and rode all four little car rides for a whopping $2.50 and left in 10 minutes rather than having to play for 45! I just might try that trick again!
After we put AK to bed, SK and I had a special big girl's Spa Night and Slumber Party. SK had looked forward to this all week and loved every minute.
SK got to take a bubble bath by candlelight in mommy's bathtub. It was still raining and we listened to the rain for a few minutes.
She loved getting to put lots and lots of water in!
And, of course she's a little fish and practiced swimming a bit!
Then we dried her off, put on mommy's special lotions and wrapped her in my robe. She had wanted popcorn in my bed for her snack, so here she is watching a TV show.
Sweet, sweet SK! I had so much fun with you pretty girl! I can't wait for another slumber party soon!
