SK absolutely loved the 'rings' during the summer olympics. Like many other little girls, she asked to take gymnastics after seeing the US girls team compete. Since she was in a phase (and still is) of making anything and everything a balance beam, we signed her up at a nearby gym. We love our little gym and especially Sara's coach, Coach Aaron. He is soooo patient and kind with her. It took 6 weeks before she would participate in circle time and he just encouraged her all the way. Her are a few pictures (sorry for the terrible quality) of Sara class on Monday.
Circle Time! Although SK does everything Coach Aaron teaches during cirlce time at home, she just started doing it in class 2 weeks ago.Floor obstacle course. SK's little group moves through 3 stations each week. She loves the wall to wall trampolines best!
Rings! FINALLY after several months of gymnastics, SK was able to play on the rings. That is ALL she wanted to do the first several classes. They are normally reserved for the boys on Team, but today Coach Aaron put some at the bar rotations. Yippee for SK!!!
Sharing Time. At the end of every class, Sara has to tell what she learned and then gets a stamp on her foot (which she thinks is way too cool!). Here she is with her friend Lilly. Lilly lives at the end of our street and will go to Kindergarten with Sara. We are so happy to have met Lilly and her sweet family!
